So I don’t know about you but, I am having trouble with the new normal. Is it normal?
And I find myself falling into the social media trap of seeing all the things I should be doing with all this “time” I have during Minnesota’s Stay At Home order.
- The homeschooling activies I should be doing so my kids don’t fall behind in school.
- The work projects I should be doing because I’m at home all day
- Hobbies…
- Cooking…
- Cleaning…
- Etc…
It’s enough to make my head spin. And wreak havoc on my nervous system.
Here’s the thing: collectively we are all in survival mode. We are mourning the loss of our lives from before, because we know, even when this is over, things can never go back to the way they were.
So you want to know what I’m actually committing to right now?
- Breath
- Meditation
- Gratitude
- Reading
- Spending as much time in nature as I can (because this has been a HUGE calling for me)
- Just spending time with my family
And remembering, that the best possible thing we can do for one another during the physical distancing is really, truly, giving ourselves the grace to just BE.
Feel the feelings, because they are not easy ones.
Continuing to reach out to our friends and family virtually even though we cannot commune in person right now.
Send you SOOO much love and peace of heart right now.
