Vulnerability. It’s HARD. And making new friends as an adult is not easy. How much of myself do I actually share with this person? It feels safer to just talk about the weather than it does about some of life’s harder moments.
Last week, I took a chance on really making a connection.
After three months of rescheduled coffee dates from bad weather and illnesses, we finally made it happen. @kyleeleonetti, whom I met at Minneapolis Mastermind, had a coffee date. So much gratitude for this meeting. Connecting with another mama entrepreneur, talking about dreams, and some darker moments, and letting myself really open up lifted my heart and souls in ways that are not easy to describe.
And being vulnerable with another person, even someone you know and love, is scary, it’s also the best way to really connect and to feel like you’re not walking this world alone.
